LYNDEN - Craft beer tastings and presentations about home brewing are among the new events at the Whatcom County Home & Garden Show.

The 34th annual show runs Friday, March 8, to Sunday, March 10, at the Northwest Washington Fair and Event Center in Lynden. The event is being organized by the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County.

The craft beer tastings and homebrew presentations are scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Breweries scheduled to participate include Boundary Bay Brewery, Chuckanut Brewery and Kitchen, Kulshan Brewing Co., Harmon Brewing, Skagit River Brewery and Fremont Brewing. Admission to the beer tasting is $5 plus the home show admission ($7 for adults, $6 for seniors over 55). The first 500 entrants will receive a commemorative tasting glass from sponsor Bellingham Bay Builders.

The home show will have more than 200 exhibitors with a variety of special events. Details can be found at whatcomhomeshow.com.
