The Whatcom Community College women's basketball team lost to Spokane 70-55 late Sunday, March 3, in a consolation round game at the NWAACC Tournament in Kennewick.
The loss ended the Orcas' season.
Whatcom fell behind early 9-2 but rallied to take the lead later in the first half and go into halftime ahead 33-31.
The Orcas increased their lead early in the second half before Spokane tied the game with 17 minutes remaining. Soon after, Spokane took the lead and led for the rest of the game.
Bree Park led Whatcom with 17 points. Erika Locker had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Cambie Edwards had 15 points and seven rebounds for the Orcas.
