BELLINGHAM - People can learn about fair housing laws at a free workshop Thursday, March 7, in the YWCA Ballroom, 1026 N. Forest St.
Sponsored by the city of Bellingham, the event is 2 to 3:30 p.m.
The workshop will be valuable for rental housing owners, property managers, renters and housing advocates, according to a Bellingham news release, and will include in-depth discussions on issues such as disability, familial status, sexual orientation and domestic violence.
The workshop will be conducted by Lauren Walker, executive director of the Fair Housing Center of Washington.
It will be filmed for later broadcast on BTV10. Find out when it will run by checking the BTV10 schedule following the March 7 workshop.
