A free event with information about housing options for aging people will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Bellingham Senior Activity Center, 315 Halleck St.

More than 20 representatives will be on hand to explain such resources as in-home care, assisted living, retirement communities and rehabilitation care.

Bellingham Mayor Kelli Linville will make opening remarks at 3 p.m., followed by keynote speaker Shelly Zylstra of Northwest Regional Council. At 5:30 p.m., a panel of specialists will answer housing questions.
