Fifteen Western Washington University indoor track and field athletes were named West Region all-stars by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday.
WWU's Kevin Yates qualified in two events, the men's high jump and long jump.
The other Viking qualifiers were Karis Anderson in the women's pole vault, Tanya Bjornsson in the women's long jump, Alex Donigian in the men's 60, Peter Maguire in the men's 60 hurdles, Logan Myers in the men's high jump, Jason Nokes in the men's 4x400, Cheyenna Pinley in the women's pole vault, Jon Poolman in the 4x400, Katie Reichert in the pentathlon, Nate Schmidt in the 4x400, Devon Smith in the 4x400, Brett Watson in the men's high jump, Emily Warman in the women's long jump and Lindsay Wells in the women's weight throw.
Repeating for WWU were Anderson, Myers, Poolman, Watson and Warman.
The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three earned the all-region distinction for the 2013 indoor season.
