BELLINGHAM - A consultant on Seattle's waterfront project will discuss the design, planning and challenges of the project at Western Washington University Thursday, Feb. 28.
WWU grad Ken Johnsen will speak at 4 p.m. in Academic West room 204 as part of the Huxley College of the Environment speaker series.
Johnsen is the project manager for the Waterfront Seattle project, which is a partnership between the city of Seattle and the community to create a public waterfront in downtown Seattle. He'll discuss the design and planning for the project as well as the challenges and opportunities of community involvement.
The event is free and will be followed by a question and answer period.
