Whatcom Symphony Orchestra welcomes back superstar violinist Sarah Chang at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St.

Her sold-out 2009 appearance sparked such an enthusiastic response that Sarah asked to come back for another performance. The new program includes a suite of music from "West Side Story," arranged especially for Sarah by noted Hollywood composer David Newman, plus Dvorak's "Symphony No. 9 ("From the New World").

Conductor is David Alexander Rahbee, one of four finalists in the search for a new WSO music director. Tickets, $12 to $49, are at 360-734-6080 and mountbakertheatre.com.
