The Tacoma Mountaineers are holding a used equipment sale Tuesday.

This once-a-year sale is a chance to find bargains on used outdoor gear. If you want to upgrade or augment your current equipment, the sale is an opportunity to get a deal on field-tested gear.

Among the items that likely will be on sale are skis, snowshoes, sleeping bags, packs, parkas, gaiters, climbing boots, stoves, kayaks, spray skirts and cameras. The gear will be sold by Mountaineer members.

The public is welcome to attend the event. This is a cash only sale.

Doors open for sellers at 6 p.m., and for buyers at 6:45 p.m. The event will end at 8 p.m.

The sale takes place at The Mountaineers Tacoma Program Center, 2302 N. 30th St., Tacoma. For information, go to tacomamountaineers.org.
