Sehome's Gregory, Small headline All-Northwest Conference swim team

Sehome senior Patrick Gregory was a four-time first-team selection on the All-Northwest Conference Boys' Swimming and Diving team, which was released by the league's coaches late Tuesday, Feb. 19, and teammate Andy Small was a three-time first-team selection..

Gregory, who won the Class 2A state title in the 100 breaststroke and was part of the Mariners' state championship 200 medley relay team, was a first-team pick in both events, as well as in the 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle relay.

Small was a first-team pick in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke, as well as the 200 medley relay.

Teammate Isaac Day joined them on both relays, while Isaiah Grambo was part of the first-team 200 medley relay and Josh Larson and Curran Wilbour were part of the 200 freestyle relay.

Grambo also was a first-team selection in the 100 butterfly.

Squalicum state champion diver Rylan Korby was a first-team pick in that event, as well.

Anacortes filled out the rest of the first-team, with Ian Schleh earning first-team honors in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, Karl Akland making the first team in the 100 freestyle and the Seahawks' 400 freestyle relay team getting top honors.

Whatcom County swimmers making the second team were Lynden's Jeff Propersi, Jan Wolfisberg, Bryton Snavely and Lorenzo Perez in the 200 medley relay, Wilbour in the 200 freestyle, Sehome diver Rocky Rantz, Wilbour in the 500 freestyle, Sehome's Will Hutchinson in the 100 backstroke, Wolfisberg in the 100 breaststroke and Grambo, Larson, Wilbour and Small in the 400 freestyle relay.

Whatcom County swimmers to make the third team were Sehome's Patrick Lisosky in the 200 individual medley, Grambo in the 50 freestyle, Squalicum's Christian Herzberger in diving, Lynden's Robby Knapp in the 100 butterfly, Larson in the 100 freestyle, Squalicum's Hans Kogan, Bobby Bruce, Lucas Roberts and Neall Koetje in the 200 freestyle relay and Squalicum's Koetje, Kogan, Roberts and Andi DeKoster in the 400 freestyle relay.
