Bellingham's premiere Oscar Party event will be Sunday, Feb. 24, at Pickford Film Center, 1318 Bay St. In addition to a strut on the red carpet, guests can enjoy photo opportunities, door prizes, food catered by Ciao Thyme, and a live broadcast of the 85th Academy Awards from Los Angeles.

Tickets range from $40 for members to $125 for VIP non-member passes. VIPs enjoy in-seat catered service in the smaller 75-seat theater, with an open bar, swag bag and other special perks.

People with general admission tickets receive one free non-alcoholic beverage and appetizers. A cash bar will be available in the lobby.

Doors open at 4 p.m.; the live broadcast starts at 5. Formal attire is encouraged.
