This addresses Luanne Van Werven's op-ed piece in the Bellingham Herald for Feb. 11, in which she lists the beliefs of the Republican Party. As an important figure in the Republican political machine, Mrs. Van Werven is well qualified to identify and list the important values and qualities of life that I believe Republican politicians seek to withhold from all but the most wealthy.
