B y the numbers That is the number of acres, in millions, of habitat conserved in North America during the 76-year existence of Ducks Unlimited. In Washington, that work has included providing wintering and migration habitat to waterfowl and facilitate fish passages and their use on the westside of the state. Among those projects, Ducks Unlimited assisted with the recent restoration of the Nisqually River estuary. Eastern Washington projects have improve degraded wetlands to provide waterfowl production habitat. There have been more than 90 DU habitat projects completed across the state.
