Western Washington University pitcher/first-baseman Alexie Levin has been named to the fourth annual Montana State Billings Desert Stinger Softball All-Tournament Team announced Thursday by vote of the coaches.
Levin, a freshman from Everett, helped the Vikings win four of their five tourney games and placed third among 28 teams. During that span, Levin hit .474 (9 for 19) with five extra-base hits (four doubles and one triple), driving in 10 runs and scoring seven. She had a 2-0 pitching record and a 2.74 earned run average.
Levin had two hits in four of the five contests. She drove in three runs and scored two in an 18-2 win over defending Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament champion Fort Lewis, and drove in four runs and scored two in a 10-3 victory over Black Hills State.
Levin was the winning pitcher in both contests, throwing the first three innings against Fort Lewis and the last five versus Black Hills State.
