Whatcom women win by 60 points over Olympic

Bree Park scored a game-high 25 points and the Whatcom Community College women's basketball team defeated host Olympic 88-28 in a NWAACC North game on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

The Orcas improved to 16-7, 9-2 North with the win.

"I thought we played well on both sides of the ball," Whatcom coach Sara Bergner said in a phone interview.

Park also had five 3-pointers and seven rebounds in the game.

"She played a really well-rounded game," Bergner said.

Cambie Edwards scored 17 points, Erika Locker had 16 points and Amanda Tapia added 13 points for the Orcas.

Whatcom next plays at Bellevue on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Olympic dropped to 0-21, 0-11 North.
