Published: February 8, 2013

BELLINGHAM - People can learn about advance planning and end-of-life choices at a seminar Sunday, Feb. 10, at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, 1207 Ellsworth St.

Robb Miller, executive director for Compassion & Choices of Washington, will provide the information at the free event, which runs 1 to 3 p.m.

Participants will be guided through the process of making such directives, including a new first-of-its-kind directive for people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Advance directives are oral or written instructions about future medical care if a person becomes incapable of stating his or her wishes.
