The Sehome girls' basketball team ended its regular season with a 58-33 Northwest Conference home loss to Burlington-Edison on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
The Mariners (10-10, 7-5 NWC) next play in the Class 2A District 1/2 Tournament when they host Lake Washington at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, in first-round action.
Sehome coach Kim Kirk gave Burlington-Edison (17-3, 10-2) credit for playing a good game.
"They definitely came out ready to go for four quarters," Kirk said in a phone interview.
Sehome kept up with Burlington-Edison in the first quarter when it was down 16-13, but the Mariners were outscored by 11 points in the second quarter.
Sehome was led by Rachel Albert who had 12 points and 11 rebounds while Megan Bayless added nine points.
