I would like to add what I believe to be the truth to all the anti-gun hysteria. First of all, nothing has happened in this state that we need to change any laws here. I have seen this type of anti-gun hysteria before. I lived in California for 43 years. I hear a lot about so-called assault weapons. By definition an assault weapon is a selective-fire weapon.

Meaning you can switch between, fully automatic, sometimes three-round bursts, semi-auto and safe. There are not now, nor have there ever been in the state of Washington a firearm that matches that description! So when you say you want to ban it, it does not exist for purchase by consumers so how can it be banned? Tell us what you really want.

Oh, I forgot; I already know. First you ban, then you make illegal. Just like they did in California.

Then you make any law-abiding citizen who has one an instant felon as soon as you pass these laws.

It only took a couple years until all these firearms were illegal in the state. Now they gave me a choice. Give back your firearm for a tiny sum of money, move it out of state or go to prison. Believe me, I watched it first hand. It will happen here if we don't stop these lies.

At six years in prison for each firearm, it doesn't take a genuis to figure I would have spent the rest of my life in prison for never commiting a crime. You tell me who the criminals are in this situation.
