In a concert co-sponsored by the Bellingham Festival of Music and by Whatcom Symphony Orchestra, the Smoke and Mirrors Percussion Ensemble from Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles presents two performances of an all-percussion marimba concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Western Washington University's Performing Arts Center Concert Hall, and at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Bellingham High School, 2200 Cornwall Ave.
The performances are in conjunction with the group's participation in the Play It Forward Chamber Music Residency, part of their Music in the Schools Program to inspire music students with young chamber players of today.
