What he did: Deardorff hit a game-winning shot against Tulalip Heritage on Tuesday, Jan. 29, to help the Blackhawks secure the Northwest 1B League championship. He scored 17 points in the 58-56 win and has averaged 16 points coming off the bench in Lummi's last three victories.

AIDAN GLAZE
School: Bellingham
Sport: Swimming
Year: Junior
Events: Freestyle and breaststroke
What he did: Glaze is a first-year swimmer with an impeccable work ethic and competitive desire, according to coach Jeff Anderson. He hasn't won a race, but leads the team in personal bests with 22, so far. He swam a time of 1 minute, 19.41 seconds in the 100 freestyle at the Northwest Conference B Championships on Friday, Feb. 1, and a 1:28.78 in the 100 breaststroke after helping the Red Raiders place fourth in the 200 medley relay.
Coach's quote: "(Last) week, against Sedro-Woolley, Aiden went four for four, or four races with four best times. On our team, we call that a Grand Slam. Aiden has the equivalent of five Grand Slams this season, with more to come, I'm sure. He is also an A student and a prominent member of the Bellingham High 'Showstoppers!'" - Anderson
