Nooksack boys fall 71-48

Published: February 2, 2013

The Nooksack Valley boys' basketball team lost its final game of the year 71-48 at Sedro-Woolley on Friday, Feb. 1.

"We started off OK but Sedro just did a nice job with the second quarter and had an even better third," Nooksack Valley coach Tyler Mitchell said in a phone interview. "We just couldn't recover after halftime."

The Pioneers (1-19, 1-11 NWC) were led by Brandon Gwinner, who scored 12 points, and Bret Rediger, who scored 11.

"Gwinner had a good night for us," Mitchell said. "I thought Rediger played really well in the second half. They both finished their careers well."
