Children ages 12 and younger can visit Northwest Trek Wildlife Park for free during Kids ’n’ Critters weekend Feb. 16-18.

Up to four kids can get in free with each paying adult during the Presidents Day weekend event.

Activities that weekend include nature-themed arts and crafts and trailside encounters.

The encounters include a chance to talk to an animal keeper about how a species lives in the wild, what it eats and how it fits in the ecosystem.

It also is a chance for visitors to see individual animals up close.

Visitors need to remember tram seating is limited to the first 1,500 people.

All trams are 30-minute tours during Kids ’n’ Critters weekend.

Admission for teens and adults is $14.75- $18.25 depending on age and place of residence.
