Asks voters to first walk in the woods

Published: January 31, 2013

If you are debating whether to vote for a small tax to save the Hundred Acre Wood, please, take a walk in this breath-taking forest.

Wildlife rely on its connectivity, endangered fairy shrimp live in its wetlands, salmon swim in the streams and people find serenity in its quiet, shaded glens. There is nowhere like it anywhere else in Bellingham. The Chuckanut Community Forest is a gem worth saving for ourselves and generations to come.

Before you vote, find time to take a quiet walk in the woods.
