The Blaine boys' basketball team nearly completed a comeback in its 63-61 loss to Sedro-Woolley in a Northwest Conference game Tuesday, Jan. 29, in Blaine.
"It was definitely a game from behind the arc tonight and it came down to the wire," Blaine coach Shaun Pile said in a phone interview. "We had a chance to tie it but we missed two free throws. When you shoot 4 for 11 from the line in a close game, you're not going to win."
Blaine (4-15, 1-10 NWC) was led with 20 points by Jericho Probadora and Gabe Trump. Blaine made 11 3-pointers, with four each from Trump and Probadora.
"Probadora had an outstanding first half with 18 points and Trump really stepped up for us in the second," Pile said
Blaine hosts Burlington-Edison on Friday, Feb. 1, in its final Northwest Conference regular season game.
