The Lummi girls' basketball team fell 53-15 in a Northwest League 1B game at Tulalip Heritage Tuesday, Jan. 29.

"It was a tough one but we're glad to have Dawn James back," Lummi coach Woody Bakke said in a phone interview. "The players continue to learn and grown and adjust each game and we go into districts hoping to be competitive because of that growth."

The Blackhawks (1-13, 1-9 NWC) were led by James, who scored eight points.

Lummi will play its final game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Mount Vernon Christian.
