Emily Yost scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Mount Baker girls' basketball team to a 47-41 Northwest Conference win at Anacortes on Monday, Jan. 28.
The win improved the Mountaineers to 9-10, 4-7 NWC while the Seahawks dropped to 3-15, 2-8 NWC.
Yost also had a team-high seven rebounds for Mount Baker.
"Yost was tough underneath for us," Mount Baker coach Brenda Ellis said in a phone interview. "She's just getting stronger and stronger."
Emily Bradland added 12 points for the Mountaineers, who were able to hold off the Seahawks in the second half.
"The difference was at the end we just had a couple more hustle plays than they did," Ellis said.
