Yay: Parking spaces

January 28, 2013

No, we’re not talking about downtown Olympia. Intercity Transit has recently opened up 322 parking spaces at the new Hawks Prairie Park & Ride, located on parts of a former Thurston County landfill.

Besides adding 77 percent more Park & Ride parking spaces, the new facility makes excellent use of an old dump site.

It’s a multiple winner for the environment.
