Blazers edge Vancouver for hockey win

The Bellingham Blazers defeated the Vancouver Vipers 4-3 in junior hockey league action on Saturday, Jan. 26

"We squeaked one out tonight," Bellingham coach Mark Collins said in a press release.

Derek Davis scored assisted by Cody Rich just a minute and a half in to the game for Bellingham. Scott Hansen followed up with the Blazers' second goal which was assisted by Cody Rich. Kyler Moore lated scored and was assisted by Micky Turner, who added a goal of his own as Bellingham took a 4-1 lead.

Vancouver scored twice in the third period before Bellingham held on for the win.

Robert MacDonald saved 23 shots on goal.

The Blazers next play at home on Feb. 2 against the Tri-City Outlaws.
