Johnson, Lummi earn 59-24 win

Published: January 26, 2013

The Lummi boys' basketball team earned a 59-24 win at Lopez in a Northwest League 1B game Friday, Jan. 25.

"It was a good balanced attack tonight," Lummi coach Jerome Toby said in a phone interview. "We shot the ball extremely well from the perimeter and did a good job on the glass. I was proud of the boys and how they played tonight."

The Blackhawks (13-3, 9-1 NWC) were led by Earl Johnson, who scored 20 points, and Jordan Deardorff, who scored 14.

"Earl shot the ball really well from beyond the arc," Toby said. "Our guys did a good job finding him and he had the hot hands so they were looking to get him the ball."

Lummi will travel to Muckleshoot on Saturday, Jan. 26.
