The Lummi girls' basketball team lost 61-29 at home in a Northwest League 1B game Tuesday, Jan. 22, to Grace Academy.
"We continue to play hard from start to finish," Lummi coach Woody Bakke said in a phone interview. "We had to make some personnel changes and put role players in leadership positions. Grace Academy is a solid team and this was a game that gave opportunity for all of our young players to have experience."
Lummi (1-11, 1-7 NL1B) was led by Theresa Solomon and Samantha Wilson, who each scored nine points.
"Theresa played really well and Samantha played at point guard, swing guard and post and continues to improve," Bakke said. "Bella James played point guard and really helped stabilize our team at point guard."
Lummi will travel to Lopez on Friday, Jan. 25, in a Northwest League 1B game.
