Reimer's triple-double propels LC boys past Friday Harbor

Published: January 20, 2013

Lynden Christian's Isaac Reimer recorded a triple-double with 33 points, 18 rebounds and 10 blocks to lead the LC boys' basketball team to a 78-58 non-conference win Saturday, Jan. 19, at Friday Harbor.

Lyncs coach Roger De Boer said seven of Reimer's blocks came in the first quarter. His performance was extra important, because several Lynden Christian players were battling the flu.

"I'm proud of our entire team," De Boer said in a phone interview. "To get up early and go over to the island and play as well as they did, we are excited about that. Isaac really stepped up and was one of the few ones who wasn't hit with the flu."

Truman Van Dalen scored 10 points and recorded a team-high five assists.

LC travels to play Sedro-Woolley next at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21.
