The Squalicum boys' basketball team limited Sedro-Woolley to 33-percent shooting from the field, as the Storm's defense helped Squalicum earn a 56-41 Northwest Conference win Friday, Jan. 18, at Sedro-Woolley.

Alex Yuska scored a game-high 18 points for Squalicum, and teammate Ben Garcia added 15. Both contributed greatly on the defensive end.

"I thought we played defense with energy tonight," Squalicum coach Dave Dickson said in a phone interview. "I thought that was the difference in the game."

Squalicum led by seven points heading to the fourth quarter and outscored the Cubs 16-8 in the final eight minutes. Sedro-Woolley's Jackson Price scored a team-high 12 points, and Tristan Jette added 11.

Squalicum (10-7, 5-3) travels to Ferndale on Tuesday, Jan. 22, for a Northwest Conference game.
