The Lummi girls' basketball team lost 42-34 at Highland Christian in a Northwest League 1B game Friday, Jan. 18.
"Our rebounding was much improved and everybody touched the ball on offense," Lummi coach Woody Bakke said in a phone interview. "We played under control as evidenced by only having six team fouls. It was one of our better games that we have played in a while because the offense was moving the ball around much better."
Treena Humphreys led the team with 20 points and Samantha Wilson added eight.
"Treena led Lummi (1-11, 1-7) in scoring and Sam played a solid game at all positions," Bakke said. "A lot of different kids were getting rebounds and a lot of them were stepping up."
Lummi hosts Grace Academy in a Northwest League 1B game Tuesday, Jan. 22.
