BELLINGHAM - The Saturday market that has become a staple of downtown Bellingham from spring through the end of the year begins its inaugural winter market Jan. 19.

The Bellingham Farmers Market, set up inside Depot Market Square, will be open one Saturday in January, February and March. Hours are the usual 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 30 vendors are expected at the first market. For updates, check the market's Facebook page.

Depot Market Square is at the corner of Maple Street and Railroad Avenue.
