Patrick Anderson from Bellingham pinned Parker Schram in the 152 weight class to give Bellingham the 48-42 win over Nooksack Valley at home on Wednesday, Jan. 16, in a Northwest Conference meet.
"It was our last night for a couple of these guys and they stepped up and had big wins," Bellingham coach Tom Hinz said in a phone interview. "We wrestled well and and it was a big night for some of these guys."
Taylor Garnder (126) pinned Sergio Torres in 5:42 for the Pioneers (1-3, 1-3 NWC), and Hunter Whittern (132) defeated Scott Tang 6-5.
Riley Takemura (120) pinned Dillon Heeringa in 1:55 for Bellingham (3-2, 3-1 NWC), and Alden Roberts (145) defeated Nathan Anderson 10-1.
Bellingham will participate in the Lynden Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 19, while Nooksack Valley will wrestle in the Dream Duals.
