The Mount Baker boys' basketball team fell 76-57 at Burlington-Edison in a Northwest Conference game Tuesday, Jan. 15.
"We started out really well and had a two-point lead at the end of the first quarter," Mount Baker coach Rob Gray said in a phone interview. "Harrison Whitmyre and Zan Roman really played well in the first eight minutes. We struggled defensively and turned the ball over too much in the second and third quarters, but battled back and outscored them in the fourth."
The Mountaineers (4-10, 1-5 NWC) allowed 12 of Austin Von Herbulis' 26 points in the second quarter.
Mount Baker was led by Whitmyre and Roman, who each scored 13 points.
Mount Baker hosts Lynden on Thursday, Jan. 17, in a Northwest Conference game.
