The Bellingham Blazers defeated the Eugene Generals 6-4 on Sunday, Jan. 13, in junior league hockey at the Sportsplex in Bellingham.
Cody Rich had a hat trick, giving him two out of three games.
"We got an ugly win tonight, but at least it was a win. The boys were exhausted after the road trip, but still managed to do enough to win," coach Mark Collins said in a press release.
Mason Wade scored for Bellingham and was assisted by Scott Hansen and Mark MacDonald in the first period.
The second period started off with a bang as Cody Rich scored unassisted just ten seconds into the period. Micky Turner scored assisted by Adam Papayoanou followed by Kristjan Toivola scoring assisted by Treven Salminen and Gerin Hohl.
Half way through the period Rich scored assisted by Mason Wade and Mark MacDonald, bringing the Blazers further into the lead.
Cody Foster saved 34 shots on goal
The Blazers suffered a 4-2 loss to the Glacier Nationals Saturday, Jan. 12, in Whitefish, Mont.
Mason Wade and Adam Papayoanou scored goals, and Cody Rich, Derek Davis and Wade recorded assists in the loss.
