Run for it
"The Mountain Runners" docudrama tells the true story of America's first mountain adventure race, held right in our backyard 1911 through 1913. With a prize of $100 in gold coins gleaming in their eyes, 14 runners competed to race to the top of Mount Baker and back down in one piece. The DVD includes vintage images, historical footage and dramatizations, as well as interviews with current top athletes reflecting on the harrowing challenge those racers faced. The soundtrack is by Bellingham duo Pretty Little Feet.
