Rich has big game, but Blazers fall at Glacier

Published: January 13, 2013

Bellingham's Cody Rich scored three goals and logged two assists, but it wasn't enough in a 7-6 NORPAC loss at Glacier on Friday, Jan. 11.

The Nationals' Tucker Spooner scored his second goal of the night at the 11:38 mark of the third period to break a 6-6 tie, and Glacier was able to hold the Blazers out of the net from there.

Rich scored 54 seconds into the game off an assist from Mason Wade and added game-tying goals at the 13:45 mark of the second period and the 5:11 mark of the third. He also assisted on a Wade first-period goal and a Derek Davis goal in the second period. Jaime Velasquez also scored in the second period for the Blazers.

Bellingham (12-13-1) next hosts Eugene at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Sportsplex.
