Nooksack boys' basketball loses 60-34

Published: January 12, 2013

The Nooksack Valley boys' basketball team lost 60-34 at home to Burlington-Edison on Friday, Jan. 11, in a Northwest Conference game.

"It was kind of a rough one," Nooksack Valley coach Tyler Mitchell said in a phone interview. "They really outworked us on the boards on offense and defense. We played an all-right first quarter out of the gates, but we just got tired and ran out of gas. The team is working hard and that's all you can really ask out of them."

Nooksack Valley (0-12, 0-5 NWC) was led by Brandon Gwinner, who scored 10 points, and Seth Taron, who scored eight.

The Pioneers travel to Squalicum on Tuesday, Jan. 15, in a Northwest Conference game.
