Blake Youtsey had a double-double and the Squalicum boys' basketball team had a big fourth quarter to defeat visiting Bellingham 61-48 in Northwest Conference action on Monday, Jan. 7.
The win improved the Storm to 7-7, 2-3 NWC while the Red Raiders dropped to 8-6, 3-2 NWC.
Squalicum was down by one point going into the fourth quarter before outscoring Bellingham 22-8 the rest of the game. The Storm held the Red Raiders to one field goal in the fourth quarter.
"Defensively we really picked it up in the fourth quarter," Squalicum coach Dave Dickson said in a phone interview.
Blake Youtsey had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Squalicum while Alex Yuska added 11 points and Tre Clark 10 points.
"(Yuska) did a good job making plays on both ends of the floor," Dickson said.
Bellingham was led by Dante Check's 11 points and Nick Zeegers' 10 points.
