A 22-8 second-quarter advantage helped lead the Sehome boys' basketball team to a 70-59 Northwest Conference win over host Mount Baker on Monday, Jan. 7.
Charlie Linneman scored 20 points and had seven rebounds to lead the Mariners (10-3, 3-2 NWC).
Sehome led 15-14 after the first quarter before outscoring Mount Baker 22-8 in the second quarter to take a 37-22 halftime lead.
"It was still a competitive game, we just happened to push the lead out a little bit after that second quarter," Sehome coach A.J. LaBree said in a phone interview.
Gabe Sanchez scored 14 points, Evan Miksovksy had 11 points and Noah Cyr-Moore had 10 points for the Mariners.
Mount Baker (4-8, 1-3 NWC) was led by Reuben Murashov who had 20 points and Dalton Munsell with 10 points.
