The Nooksack Valley girls' wrestling team defeated Lakewood and Stanwood in a double dual in Sedro-Woolley on Friday, Jan. 4.
The Pioneers defeated Lakewood 48-12 and defeated Stanwood 36-12.
"I was very impressed with our girls against Lakewood," Nooksack Valley coach Michelle Dekoekkoek said in a phone interview. "Their hard work has really shown when they get to the mat."
Jessica Jose wrestled up a weight class against Stanwood and pinned her opponent in 2 minutes, 54 seconds. Chloe Gardner pinned both of her opponents.
