I find it truly curious that our mayor would seek to appoint a police chief who has questionable record. We have no candidates within the Bellingham Police Department that qualify for the mayor's needs and requirements. Why is that? She wishes to risk someone who has apparently got crosswise with procedure in his old job?

Surely there must be more viable options within our own organization - don't cha think?
