The state Department of Natural Resources has announced the Mount Si parking lot is closed until further notice. The parking area is being used by the King County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue efforts involving a missing skydiver.

The Mount Si area, located in eastern King County near the town of North Bend, is a popular recreation area along the Interstate 90 corridor.

Department officials encourage hikers to visit other trails in the area including Little Si, Rattlesnake Mountain, Rattlesnake Ledge, and Twin Falls.
