Blaine's big third quarter gives them 60-42 win in Classic

Published: December 29, 2012

Blaine defeated B.C. Christian Academy 60-42 in the Blaine Holiday Classic on Friday, Dec. 28.

"We had a slow start and they came out well," Blaine coach Shaun Pile said in a phone interview. "We had a ten point lead at half and then a big third quarter."

Blaine outscored BCCA 22-4 in the third and was led by Jericho Probadora, who scored all 13 of his points in the third.

"Jericho's 13 points really helped us build a lead," Pile said. "They had to play back-to-back games and were missing a few guys and it was tough on them."

Blaine's original opponent for the Tournament, Earl Marriott (B.C.) did not make, so B.C. Christian Academy played two games on Friday. Granite Falls and Blaine will now play at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, in the only game of the day.
