The upcoming razor clam dig is a great way to introduce out-of-town holiday guests to the wonders of Washington’s outdoors or a good way to get the kids out of the house during Christmas break.
With tests showing clams are safe to eat, the next dig will open Friday and then run through New Year’s Eve.
The dig will take place (with low tide times) Friday, 6:42 p.m., -0.3 feet, at Twin Harbors; Saturday, 7:15 p.m., -0.3 feet at Long Beach, Twin Harbors and Mocrocks; Dec. 30, 7:47 p.m., -0.2 feet at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks; and Dec. 31, 8:20 p.m., 0 feet at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks.
Kalaloch remains closed to digging.
No digging will be allowed before noon on any of the days.
