Lana and Tom celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary December 22 with friends and family. The couple flew to Reno, Nevada to get married 25 years ago. Lana worked at the Bellingham Herald as a graphic artist and photographer. She wrote a local humor book and was a public information officer for a California school district before working as a managing editor and photographer for several weekly newspapers. Tom served 11 years (three tours) in the US Navy as a medical corpsman with the Marines in Viet Nam. He retired from Georgia-Pacific after serving as warehouse supervisor in Marysville and Bellingham. After that he worked at Bellingham Public Works Department’s Clean Green site on weekends. Lana loves playing mahjongg and Tom golfs in this area
