Carlson, Honeycutt have double-doubles for Ferndale in 64-27 win over Sedro-Woolley

Published: December 21, 2012

The Ferndale girls' basketball team defeated Sedro-Woolley 64-27 in a Northwest Conference game Thursday, Dec. 20, in Sedro-Woolley.

"We pretty much dominated the boards and anytime you can get all 12 players on your team to score you know you shared the ball well," Ferndale coach Mike Ivy said in a phone interview. "Anytime you have two players get a double-double, you know good things are going to happen."

Linsey Honeycutt scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds and Hannah Carlson scored 13 and also had 10 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (7-0, 3-0 NWC).

"I think our girls came out and played hard in the third quarter and it was lights out from there," Ivy said. "Sedro played hard and are a young team and couldn't break down our defense."

Ferndale next plays at Oak Harbor on Friday, Dec. 21.
