WWU's Harris named Red Lion/GNAC Player of the Week

Western Washington University post-player Britt Harris has been named the Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Co-Player of the Week for Dec. 16-22.

Harris, a senior from Marysville, had 42 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and five steals in leading the Vikings to wins over nationally ranked sixth-ranked Washburn KS, 64-62, and No. 15 Grand Canyon, 72-68 in overtime.

Harris, who scored a career-high 27 points in the win over Washburn, converted 14-of-30 field goal attempts and 14-of-19 free throws.

Harris shared the honor with Alaska Anchorage forward Alysa Horn.
