Western Washington University guard John Allen has been named Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 16-22.

Allen scored 47 points in leading the Vikings to wins over 14th ranked Drury, 72-69, and Central Oklahoma, 103-74, at the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic in Las Vegas.

Allen, who scored a season-high 32 points in the win over Central Oklahoma, made 14 of 28 shots, including nine of 17 three-point attempts. He also had six assists and three steals.

Allen currently ranks 18th among WWU career scoring leaders with 1,068 points.
